Icelandic Cost Guard is operating three Super Puma helicopters for maritime and inland search and rescue. Iceland huge SAR region, remoteness and harsh environment require best available SAR helicopters in terms of capability and technology. The Coast Guard fleet is getting old and time for renewal of the fleet. In this presentation we will discuss Icelandic Coast Guard SAR helicopter SAR capability and future requirements based on analyses for new SAR helicopters.
