Sea kayaking has been my passion for the past 15 years. During that time, I have gained a wide range of qualifications in kayak guiding and instruction. I have paddled around Iceland and Ireland and led numerous expeditions in different parts of the world.Today, I run my own company and work, among other things, as a trainer and assessor in sea kayak guiding at an international level. Drawing on my experience in teaching, guiding, and sea expeditions, I place particular emphasis on safety and the importance of preventive measures before setting out.
Safety in sea and inland-water kayaking in Iceland, with a focus on the main risk factors and on how we can all contribute to more responsible and safer journeys.This includes the roles of individuals, tourism operators, retailers, and regulatory authorities.Particular emphasis will be placed on how to ensure that accurate, clear, and accessible information reaches the right people at the right time.
