I am a PhD in military psychology from Karolinska institutet in Stockholm. Currently I am working as a humanfactor specialist at a energy company in Sweden (vattenfall AB). I have been working in the area of operational psychology for almost two decades, I am an army veteran and have working with our international deployments on site with focus on operational psychology, and its effect on health and performance. I have also been working with healthcare for several years with focus on sustainability during increased load, like the pandemic. I am an experienced speaker with several presentations in international conferences. In this area I was a presenter at the EENA here is a blog post I wrote for them in 2022 https://eena.org/blog/2022/01/ I frequently do podcasts and lectures in the area of human factor or operational psychology. I have a variety of topics that I think might be relevant for the conference, but what I suggest is how human factor and operational psychology can be a resource for sustainability and performance in challenging situations. Hope it's enough to spark som interest. Best regards Niclas Wisen PhD, lic, psychologist, and Officer (RO).

Human Factor as a discipline concerns the interactions between technology, organisation and humans. But it's more than meets the eye. From my background in the military we always strive to optimize "ability" and performance. That means we need to know how interactions affect performance and sustainability. When we add the aspect of operational psychology we can implement simple useful tools that can help us to manage stressors functionally and promote sustainability, health and performance. If I speak I will present examples from live situations when we used, a variety of tools that we have found are simple and effective enough to provide support for leaders as well as personnel. Based on that experience I will present a model that brings them together in a concept that is easy to teach, and use.
