Peter Hwan Lajgaard explores how Nordic SAR cooperation must adapt to a rapidly changing Arctic. Using Greenland as a focal point, the presentation highlights vast distances, extreme weather, sparse infrastructure, and rising activity driven by climate change. It examines shared resources, cross-border coordination, and civil-military collaboration, emphasising the need for stronger interoperability, situational awareness, and joint preparedness across Nordic partners.
