Sigurður Ó. Sigurðsson

Siggi is a professional photographer and also a member of ICE-SAR since 1990. He has been a freelance photographer for ICE_SAR since 1997. For the last 12 years he has been the court photographer for ICE_SAR and published a photo book portraying the work of the volunteer rescue teams of ICE_SAR. His photographs are the backbone of ICE-SAR's marketing strategy and at the same time, recording it's history. He has also worked for other responders and private companies and institutions.

On the 26. of january 2020 the earth started to shake vehemently around the town og Grindavik on the Reykjanes peninsula. The peninsulas volcanos have been dormant for hundreds of years, but now seemed to have awakend. From the beginning, Siggi has been there with his cameras and documented these events. HIs lecture gives a uniqe insight into the work of responders and contractors, who have worked tirelessly to protect the town of Grindavik and its infrastructure.
