Deputy Chief of Operation and Director of ICG maritime Operation. Served as navigation officer and vessel captain, navigation officer and rescue swimmer on helicopters / fixed wing aircraft from 1992. Deputy Chief of Operation from 2012. Graduated from Reykjavik Navigation College 1994, Project Management and leadership from University of Iceland 2006 and MBA from Reykjavik University 2018.Throughout the years, participated in several committees, projects and working groups in field of Maritime and Arctic safety and security including Arctic Coast Guard forum, Arctic Security Forces Round-table and ARCSAR. Led several projects in field of maritime surveillance and ICG assets renewal including ICG aircraft renewal 2007-2009 and OPV renewal 2021. Project management of ICG Fixed Wing aircraft and vessels participation in Frontex joint operation in Mediterranean. ICG representative in ACGF secretariat.

The ARSAR LiveX took place from 28th August to 1st September 2022 – with the aim of enhancing the safety and security collaboration between ANA Stakeholders, and develop the understanding of ARCSAR partners on factors that affect survivability and decision-making in the ANA region. ARCSAR (Arctic and North Atlantic Security and Emergency Preparedness Network) is an EU project with 20 partners across 12 countries. ARCSAR has created the first formal EU-funded safety & security network of its kind for Arctic & North Atlantic (ANA) stakeholders, with c. 100 members to date. LIVEX 2022 is the most significant event of the ARCSAR Project.
