How modern technology transformed Search and Rescue in Norway and made us spend less time waiting and eating pizza, and more time saving lives. Since 2014 Search and Rescue teams from Norwegian Peoples Aid has used tablets in the field to receive assignments, document their search effort and coordinate their missions. What started out as a small project is now in daily use all over Norway, with new participant joining regularly. A simple “off the shelf” solution, with minimal cost and good results.
