Dual Capability Two-Tensioned Rope Systems (DCTTRS) are rapidly becoming the current best practice amongst leading progressive rope rescue teams internationally. In 2017 at the ICAR (International Commission for Alpine Rescue) Conference in Andorra, the key concepts of DCTTRS were adopted as an official recommendation.  While there are many forms of Two Rope Systems (Two, Double, Twin, Dual), this presentation covers some of the important distinctions of what make DCTTRS unique. This presentation also reviews some key operational considerations.
