Mountain Safety Information (MSi)is the not for profit organisation behind AvaSAR and AvaLife. The new project is "Medical Crevasse Rescue" and to create a user friendly training resource for recreationalists, glacier guides and flight paramedics. The training resource is not ready yet, but in 8 months time it should be much closer to completion. It will be evidence informed and backed up by field testing, much of which will be carried out in Iceland. We have workgroup members from many countries and Iceland is well represented. I understand that the founder of MSi,Manuel Genswein, has already started some discussions about presenting MSi content at the conference, so this is simply my way of contacting yourselves and finding out what the next step should be be.
I am the leader of the MSi Mountain Emergency Medicine Workgroup. I live in Aotearoa New Zealand and may attend as a speaker or one of our Icelandic members will do the presentation.
