Why does your dog occasionally miss a subject in training or even on searches? Many factors can affect scenting conditions. In this presentation I will discuss some reasons subjects are missed, how to recognize these conditions and how to work through them. Subjects covered are terrain, weather conditions (snow and freezing), wind, and building and rubble searches. I will use examples from training exercises and actual searches.
