Birgir Finnsson acting Firechief in Reykjavik discusses the response to the wildfires in Heiðmörk May 4th 2021. Birgir was Incident Commander in the Reykjavik EOC during the incident.  A large number of responders participated in the operation including three fire departments, the coast guard, ICE-SAR volunteer rescue teams, the health and safety authority,  the Icelandic forestry service, utility companies and private companies and others.
