On December 18th 2020 a very large landslide devastated Seyðisfjörð a remote fishing village in the east of Iceland. An event of this magnitude had not occurred for thousands of years in this part of the country and fortunately no lives were lost. This presentations is from the vantage point of the inhabitants in the local rescue team dealing with the prelude, the evacuation, the landslide and the aftermath under Covid restrictions.
