On the 10. of january 2024 a man dissapeared from the face of the earth in the town of Grindavik. It was feared that he fell into a crevassse in a residential area in the town. He had been given the task of filling in that crevasse, that opened to the surface during the fierce seismic activity preceding the eruption in december. The tas was exremely demanding and search for the man went on underground for three days, unfortunately he was not found. The lecture focuses on security control in situations like this.
