This year we are expecting 1,7 million tourists visiting Iceland, around 300% increase from 2010. Next year that number will be around 2,4 million and the year after over 3 millions which is 10 times more than people living here. Interest in outdoors has seldom been more if you look at Icelanders running, biking, hiking and skiing.
What challenges are we looking at, will number of incidents increase and are we ready to deal with that? We will look at some scenarios and link them with statistic and with that peek into the future.
